Scotia ‘A’ seek fourth straight win
-

FORMER champions Scotia ‘A’ will seek their fourth straight win when they take on Pan Caribbean as the 2012 Business House Netball Association (BHNA) Open League competition continues today at the Leila Robinson Courts, National Stadium Complex, starting at 5:15 pm.

The first round of matches actually begins at 3:30 prior to the start of the Scotia ‘A’ and Pan Caribbean encounter.

Scotia ‘A’, having won three games from as many starts, should come out easy winners as they have a strong team, majority of whom have played for JAMALCO in the Jamaica Netball association (JNA) Club League which ended earlier this month.

So far, the Winston Nevers-coached bankers have beaten Transport Authority 26-11; Advantage General 63-2 and Stewart’s Automobile 66-3.

Goal-shooter Marsha Murphy should again lead the bankers to an easy win by scoring majority of their goals, with support coming from goal-attack Naudia Brown, Fatavia Taylor, Nicole Farquharson, Tashika Salmon, while defenders Kameika Sherwood and Andrea Markland should easily contain their opposing shooters.

Meanwhile, defending Open League champions General Accident will take on Guardian Life at 3:00 and will be looking for their third win from as many outings. So far, the insurance girls have won two matches from two outings — 27-8 against Wray and Nephew and 44-4 over Jamaica Public Services (JPS) last Thursday.

The other matches scheduled this afternoon are: Wray and Nephew vs Jamaica Public Service (JPS), Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) vs National Housing Trust ‘A’, HEART Trust/NTA vs Jamaica National Building Society at 3:00 pm.

In the 4:30 pm encounters, Cari-Med vs Grace Kennedy; Sagicor Life ‘B’ vs National Commercial Bank (NCB); Aerotel Communication vs Victoria Mutual Building Society (VMBS); Scotia ‘B’ vs WISYNCO ‘A’.

At 5:15 pm, Jamaica Broilers will face South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA); Transport Authority come up against Stewart’s Automobile, while RBC Royal Bank tackle Altamont Court Hotel.

Sagicor Life ‘A’ take on AAMM Co-op Credit Union; Digicel Jamaica vs National Housing Trust ‘A’ and FLOW Jamaica vs Appliance Traders Limited (ATL) are due for 6:00 pm starts.
