General Accident Launches Upgraded Website
-

Platform now allows policy renewals and premium payments

General Accident is moving to create a greater line of communication with its customers and potential clients. As part of this thrust, the company rolled out its multifunctional website, aimed at providing its clientele with ease-of-access convenient functions such as policy renewal, premium payments and claims processing.

General Accident Website

The site, www.genac.com, was completely redesigned and is now even easier to read and navigate. As part of the push to improve efficiency and accuracy, the systems are linked to an insurance database for other relevant sources and the Tax Administration of Jamaica, all resulting in improved benefits for customers.

“Ease and efficiency were of critical importance once we decided to overhaul the website. We realise that in this modern age time is of critical importance, hence our product had to cater to the pace and lifestyle of our valued clients. So, the site had to be easy to navigate and provide multiple functions. It was also of utmost importance that we could provide valuable, accurate information, in record time to suit our clients’ needs,” noted Sharon Donaldson, Managing Director at General Accident.

Two of the most client-requested features have been incorporated into the website. They are: the ability to renew policies and pay premiums on the platform.

“We wanted to meet the clients at their needs and these features were always at the top of the list,” Donaldson said. “We also allowed clients the option to print insurance certificates using the features of the site.”

General Accident’s upgraded website boasts the ability to provide quick quotes — in less than five minutes on queries; incident reporting to fast-track the claims process; and mobile responsiveness to make it easy to access on smartphones.

“This project took months to complete, drawing on the expertise of some of the brightest minds available in the field locally.  We had to ensure that at the end of the day it was something that truly represented the General Accident brand and our commitment to quality customer service and ultimately would be of tremendous benefit to the client,” she continued.

General Accident is also cognisant of the need for clients to do business from their location, and this improved portal offers features allowing clients to transact business remotely, avoid hectic traffic jams and work within personal time constraints.

The site boasts Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption which is a protocol designed to provide security over a computer network.  This ensures secure log-ins and a payment gateway for online credit card payments.

“It is not part of our operations policy to rest on our laurels, so this website is a work-in-progress. There will be continuous improvements to our features and the services we provide online. A new set of upgrades are being fine-tuned and are being scheduled for release in February,” Donaldson stated.

General Accident offers a wide variety of risk transfer solutions which provide financial protection and peace of mind to individuals, families and businesses. Their products include solutions for your motor, property and general insurance needs.
