General Accident beat Police in Open League netball

FORMER champions General Accident defeated Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) 25-10 to move closer towards a berth in the final of the 2010 Wisynco-sponsored Business House Netball Association (BHNA) Open League competition at the Leila Robinson Courts last Saturday.

The insurance company leads Group ‘B’ and could cement their place atop the standing after their next game against Jamaica Broilers on Thursday.

Also winning their opening game in the play-off were Scotiabank ‘B’, who defeated Guardian Life 23-14 in Group ‘A’. The bankers’ next encounter will be against Scotiabank ‘A’ also on Thursday to determine the winner of the group who will advance to the final.

Results of Consolation Knockout matches played last Saturday: Sagicor Life Jamaica defeated RBTT Bank 25-15; Jamaica Public Service crushed Gleaner Company 36-10; National Housing Trust defeated Jamaica Infrastructure Operators 23-8; GraceKennedy Limited clipped Digicel Jamaica 14-13; Advantage General Insurance got past Wisynco 14-13; National Water Commission edged Appliance Traders Limited Group 11-10; J Wray and Nephew narrowly beat Pan Caribbean Financial Services 11-10; South East Regional Health Authority outscored Jamaica National Building Society 11-7.
