 Sharon E. Donaldson
LLB, MBA, FCCA Finance, ACCA, BSc.
 
Sharon has spent over sixteen (16) years in the accounting areas of banking, manufacturing and insurance industries. She joined General Accident as Financial Controller in 1989 and has put the Accounts Department on a sound footing. Sharon was promoted to Assistant General Manager prior to her current appointment and she has been Secretary to the Board for the last eight (8) years. 
 
Sharon brings to her new position a wealth of knowledge in Risk Management, Financial Analysis, General Management and Law. 
 
 

DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER
Maureen Hall BEd. (Hons), ACII, MBA

Maureen joined General Accident in September 1989 as Credit Controller in the Accounts Department. Afterwards she was awarded a series of promotion firstly as the Marketing/Customer Service Manager in January 1991 then seconded to the Claims Department in 1993 and finally as Claims Manager in June 1994. 

Maureen re-joined General Accident in May 2006 as Deputy General Manager.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

 

 

 John Bell BSc.

John rejoined the Management team in January 2005 as IT Manager, he was previously employed as Information Officer from January 1991 to July 1995. Mr. Bell comes with over sixteen (16) years of knowledge and experience in Insurance and Information Technology.

John has completed a BSc. In Mathematics and Applied Physics from the University of the West Indies.

 
MARKETING MANAGER

 

 

 Natalia Fong Kong MBA, BSc.

Natalia began her insurance career with General Accident in December 1989 as a Management Trainee. She worked in Filing, Claims, Customer Service and Underwriting Departments in various capacities. 

She has been on various insurance related courses and seminars before leaving General Accident in 2003 to pursue an MBA in Marketing at the University of the West Indies. She re-joined the company in January 2005 as Marketing Manager.

UNDERWRITING MANAGER

 
Marrynette Lee MBA, BSc. (Hons), ACII

Marrynette joined General Accident in January 2004 as a Consultant in the Underwriting Department. She assumed the post of Underwriting Manager in 2005. She comes to us with over twenty (20) years experience and has held various prestigious positions at several insurance companies.

Marrynette holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies, and a MBA in Finance from Manchester Business School (England). She is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (A.C.I.I.).

CLAIMS MANAGER
Michelle Robinson-Smith

Michelle joined General Accident in November 1990 in the Accounts Department as a Receivables Clerk and later transferred to the Customer Service Department where she gained valuable insurance experience. A series of promotions saw Michelle promoted to Management Trainee seconded to the Claims Department in 1993 Claims Supervisor in 1994, Asst. Claims Manager in 1995 and Claims Manager in tool and as a result of restructuring in June 2002, Michelle was appointed Motor Manager.

Prior to joining General Accident, she had a brief stint at Shearson Leachman Hutton –Stockbrokers in London and London Borough of Southwark Council.  Michelle studied Business Administration at the University of Technology and holds a Jamaica Insurance Diploma from the College of Professional Studies.  She is currently pursuing her ACII.

 
 

 
OPERATIONS MANAGER

Terrie Creary, BSc.

Mrs. Creary rejoined the General Accident family in August 2003 as the Operations Manager.  She spearheads Orrett and Musson Investment Company and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in operations and people management. 

 

OFFICE MANAGER


Denise Campbell, BSc.

Denise has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Management major) from the University of Technology as well as specialized training in Accounting, Human Resource Management and Marketing.   

Her career in the insurance industry began in 1993 and she joined General Accident in 1994 as Office Manager and brings thirteen years of experience in Personnel/Office Administration to General Accident.

Lochinvar Lungren MAAT

Lochinvar joined General Accident in September 1988 as an Accounting Clerk. He advanced through the ranks and held the position of Credit Officer up to September 1996. He was then seconded to General Accident in Scotland where he worked until December 1997. He re-joined us in January 1998 and was appointed Chief Accountant and was promoted to Accounting Manager in 2001. 

He again rejoined General Accident in October 2005 in the position of Financial Controller.

A. Desmond Blades, J.P. - Chairman

Mr. Blades is the Chairman and Managing Director of Musson Group Jamaica Limited.   Other Directorship positions include Seprod Jamaica Limited and National Commercial Bank Limited.  Mr. Blades is a past President of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and does a lot of charity work through his involvement in The United Way of Jamaica.


 Paul B. Scott, B.A. (Hons.)
Mr. Paul Scott is Managing Director of Facey Commodity Pharmaceuticals Limited. Other Directorship includes Musson Jamaica Limited and T. Geddes Grant Limited.

Dr. Ralph C. Thompson, J.D., C.D.

Dr. Ralph Thompson pursued studies majoring in English and Philosophy. His private sector business career spans 45 years during which he served as CEO of Seprod Limited from which post he retired in May last year. He is now a Consultant for the Musson Group of Companies and Managing Director of C.D. Alexander Realty Company Limited

Alvaro I. Goveia

Mr. Goviea has been a Director of Musson Group for over twenty-five years and CEO of the drug division of Musson Group.  He also serves on the boards of Stanley Motta Limited and C.D. Alexander Realty Company Limited.

G. Messado, FCCA, FCA, ATII.

Mr. Messado has worked in several positions with the Musson Group and is currently a Director and Group Financial Controller.
Mr. Messado is a director of several other companies and is affiliated with a number of organizations including the Jamaica Exporters Association, the Jamaica Manufacturers Association and the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica.
 
Melanie Scott-Subratie, B.Sc. (Hons)
 
Melanie Scott graduated from London School of Economics. Melanie worked at a political newswire service, then at the London office of Deloitte & Touche in their Financial Services Department before returning to Jamaica.
Melanie is also a director of Musson (Jamaica) Ltd., Stanley Motta Ltd., Productive Business Solutions Ltd. and T. Geddes Grant Ltd.
